Sideline 2 Sideline ("S2S," "the app," "we," "us") is a live scores, schedules, and game-chat app for Texas UIL 4A, 3A, and 2A high school football, operated by L4 Media Co. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run a live sports community, we don't sell your data, and we don't show ads.
Account identifier. The app signs you in with an anonymous account ID (provided by Google Firebase). We do not require your name, email address, or phone number to use the app.
Profile information you choose to provide. A screen name, an optional profile photo, and an optional hometown. These are shown publicly beside your posts.
Content you post. Chat messages, replies, reactions, score updates, schedule corrections, submitted games, and (for verified coaches) roster and staff submissions. Game chats and score updates are public to other users of the app.
Participation stats. Points ("XP") earned by using the app, which power the fan tier rankings.
Moderation records. Reports you file, users you block, and — if you violate our Community Standards — records of violations, which may include your account ID, device identifier, and IP address, used solely to enforce bans.
Technical basics. Our infrastructure provider (Google Firebase) processes standard technical data such as IP address and device type to deliver the service. We have disabled Google Analytics for this app.
We do not sell or rent your information, use it for third-party advertising, or use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Chats, score updates, your screen name, profile photo, hometown, and tier badge are visible to other users. Don't post anything in a game chat you wouldn't say in the bleachers.
Data is stored with Google Firebase (Firestore, Authentication, and Cloud Storage) in the United States. Google acts as our processor; their practices are described in the Firebase privacy documentation.
High school football is a family sport, and S2S is designed to be appropriate for a general audience: chats are automatically filtered, and our Community Standards prohibit targeting students. The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 — if you believe a child under 13 has created a profile, contact us and we will delete it. Roster information shown in the app is submitted by school coaching staff or licensed sources, never collected from students themselves.
Content and profiles are kept while your account is active. Schedule and score data for games is part of the historical record of the app. Moderation and ban records are kept as long as needed to keep banned users out.
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date above and note the change in the app.
